I will probably want to overclock this to at least 2.8 Ghz, if not 3. I want to get this fan, but it only says it works with a p4, butt newegg isn't always right about compatibility, so would this work with an e6600? if not, any reccomendations? possibly something that is blue/black to match my case, can use 2 120 mm fans, and is relatively cheap. right now im using the pc i need to upgrade with an asus a8r-mvp, an amd athlon 64 3800+ (not dual core) and corsair 2x 512 MB ddr ram. I will be purchasing an intel core 2 duo e6600 (2.4 Ghz), a GIGABYTE GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard, Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 (pc 6400), cpu thermal compound (only the best stuff from newegg, and i now need a fan, because stock won't work for me due to my over clocking needs. I am now in the process of ordering a new processor, motherboard and now RAM because apparently DDR 400 doesn't work with an intel core 2 duo board. I have a custom built system i built 5 months ago (my first custom pc), and i have upgraded almost every component in it already which would include a second ati raedeon x1300 pro 256 mb video card, a second dvd superdrive, a new audigy pro 4 sound card, a second western digital caviar 250 gb hdd, an ati theatre 550 pro card upgrade from an older ati tv tuner, an aspire 650 watt psu from an older thermaltake 430 watt psu, etc. The dual-core processor runs on a 1066 MHz FSB, comes clocked at 2. Information in this table was retrieved from actual processors using CPUID instruction, and we also utilized internal timer to measure CPU frequency. Be aware that Core 2 Duo E6600 is a desktop processor while Core i5-10210U is a notebook one. The table below compares support for x86 extensions and technologies, as well as individual instructions and low-level features of the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 and Intel Core i3-330M microprocessors. The numbers for Single-threaded performance and Multi-threaded performance charts are calculated as an average of several related benchmarks, that you can see in the 'Benchmarks' tab. Hello, i know i am a noob on these forums, but please help me. The Core i5-10210U is our recommended choice as it beats the Core 2 Duo E6600 in performance tests. The charts show performance of Core 2 Duo E6600 and Core i7-870 CPUs in a few different kinds of applications.
